Comment the comment
After the dark years of web democracy allowing all kinds of people to post the silliest and most banal commenting ever on any site, which made my experience with Flickr, Myspace and Facebook so unbearable I had to quit my accounts (yes I do care too much and yes I grew up convinced all people had something interesting to say all the time), finally there is a useful function on sites like YouTube: you can rate comments!!!
This is awesome, as it gives you faith in mankind and make sense of it all as most stupid comments are finally rated with negative scores! Like -8, for example. And it’s so much fun to quickly give thumbs down to the idiocy, and thumbs up to smartness: the world does make sense after all! And it’s so JUST! The stupid commenters don’t have it safe anymore, they get the revenge I was thrilled to give them!
Browsing YouTube comments has become even fun then, while earlier it was just a painful experience.
There are armies of intelligent people in the democracy, one just needs to choose that channel.
Because when it got democratic, the internet started smelling like hell. Now it’s fine, it seems like there’s some oxygen for gifted individuals as well.
Obviously, this blog will remain 100% comment free. Aaah yeah.
